Trees, Plants, and Greening the Neighborhood
We need your help buying, planting, and maintaining new beautiful street trees, bushes, and greenery along Bardstown Road.
Since the Spring 2021, Friends of Bardstown Road and Trees Louisville have collaborated to plant 176 trees along Bardstown Road in Cherokee Triangle, Tyler Park, Deer Park, Bonnycastle, Highlands-Douglass, and Belknap. These trees are on private properties and on public right of way. The tree species have been selected with great care to create a diverse, urban arboretum of trees in our walkable neighborhood.
The planting of these trees was made possible by Trees Louisville’s expertise and execution abilities, the community engagement of the Friends of Bardstown Road team, funding from MSD, District 8 Councilmember Cassie Chambers Armstrong, and Friends of Bardstown Road member donations.

We use 100% of our tree fund money toward tree planting efforts along Bardstown Road.
